
Davide Sgambaro (Padua, 1989) studied at the IUAV University of Venice. He lives and works in Turin. His research explores collective atmospheres of contingency linked to existential questions relating to the condition of the individual in contemporary precariousness. He has collaborated with: MAMbo, Bologna; ZERO…, Milan; GAM – Galleria d’Arte Moderna, Turin; Galleria Fuoricampo, Siena; Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin; La Quadriennale di Roma; Gelateria Sogni di Ghiaccio, Bologna; Galerie Alberta Pane, Paris and Venice; Almanac Projects, Turin; Manifattura Tabacchi, Florence; Klemm’s Gallery, Berlin; Cripta 747, Turin; Musei di Spoleto; Italian Cultural Institutes in Cologne and Paris; TOAST Project, Florence. He is the recipient of a scholarship from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, New York (2023–2024) and the 14th edition of the Italian Council (2025). His works are part of institutional collections including: Fondazione CRT Arte, GAM – Turin; Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa – Venice; MAMbo – Bologna. In 2020, together with other members, he founded AWI – Art Workers Italia, of which he is currently a supporter.
