A surface absorbs a gesture. A piece of fabric holds the memory of a fold. Paper slowly shifts with humidity. An object continues to exist beyond the function for which it was made.
Signal Drift brings together works that share an attention to what un-folds in the act of making. Process remains visible. Time moves through materials, alters forms, and produces difference. Each work unfolds at its own pace.
The works meet through the ways they register these changes. Re-petition, pressure, contact, wear, and duration become constructive forces. The image emerges as a temporary condition, always open to further change.
Marking its fifteenth anniversary, FuoriCampo looks to these practices as the clearest expression of its trajectory. Rather than reconstructing a history, the exhibition brings together works that continue to gene-rate relationships and meaning over time.
